Eligibility Assessment

All students are encouraged to arrange a FREE trial session prior to registration. Students entering the school in Grade 3 or above are required to complete the MAP test in Reading Comprehension, Language & Literature, and Math. Students who are three or more grade levels behind the grade they are applying for may be denied admission.

MIS does not employ a teacher specialized in children with special educational needs (SEN). However, our teachers have broad experience working with children with many different learning needs. We will evaluate each student on a case by case basis. If you have recommendations from a learning specialist, please bring in the paperwork so we can determine how to best work with your child.

Age Eligibility

Students should be at least 3 years old and potty-trained at the time of enrollment. Entrance ages for other grades are based on a student’s age as of Oct. 1st as well as academic records.

International Transfer

MIS strongly recommends that students coming from southern hemisphere schools (Jan – Dec Calendars) repeat a semester of their current grade rather than skip a semester of the next grade. Each case will be decided individually.

Note: 

  • There is no Registration Fee applied for Kindergarten 1 & 2. Students will be charged Registration Fee upon enrollment to Kindergarten 3 class, including students who are continuing from our Kindergarten 2 class.
  • Students in the MYP should bring their own iPad or MacBook daily to school. (A Macbook is recommended)
  • Students in the DP should bring their own MacBook.
  • The Tuition Fee displayed is for one academic year, including all books, stationery, and learning materials for one academic year.
  • Tuition Fee can be installed by semester (2x a year) or by term (4x a year).
  • Capital Fee is charged annually to support the school’s development and maintenance.
  • A sibling discount of 5% will apply to the second child onwards in a family studying together at the same academic year at MIS.
  • All figures above are for reference only. The final amount chargeable is as stated in the Invoice issued by our Finance.
  • For new enrolments – the registration fee, capital fee, and tuition fee for the first term need to be paid in advance before the student enters the class.
  • DP students are subject to DP Exam Fee and Pamoja Fee (if applicable). Please contact us for more information.
