OLIVIER TICHIT

Olivier Tichit is the Director of Sustainability of Musim Mas Group. Musim Mas Group is one of the world’s largest, integrated palm oil corporations with operations spanning the entire value chain across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. A tropical agronomist by training, Olivier has worked in South-East Asia for the past thirty years, and in Medan for the past twenty years.

NASHA LUBIS

Ibu Nasha earned her Bachelor degree in Accounting from Universitas Parahyangan Bandung and her MBA from Syracuse University, New York. She’s also a Certified Public Accountant registered in New York State. She currently serves as an Independent Accountant for a number of small to medium size businesses in Indonesia as well as in the US, focusing on Healthcare and F&B Industries.

IAN LAU

Mr. Lau has been with MIS since 2013. He is the Vice President Marketing of PT Sasco Indonesia which is involved in the importation and distribution of fertilizers.

MATTHEW GAETANO

Graduated with MA in K-12 Educational Leadership from Michigan State University, M.Ed from University of California, Santa Barbara, and BA. in Music from University of California, Santa Barbara, Mr. G has led a successful DP implementation at MIS resulting in a batch of successful graduates.

HENRY GINTING

Mr. Henry earned his Bachelor of Computer Engineering from STMIK Mikroskil Medan and a Diploma in Hardware Engineering from UNPAD. He was handling the General Affairs in the British Council Indonesia Foundation before joining MIS in 2017. He oversees the school’s compliance with government regulations as well as managing the ground staff at MIS.

YOHANA MANURUNG

Ms. Yohana earned her first Diploma in Banking and Finance from Politeknik Negeri Bandung then completed her Bachelor of Economics from Universitas Panca Budi. She worked with Briton International English School before joining MIS as the accounts officer in August 2013. She oversees the financial activities throughout the school.

MATTHEW GAETANO
PRINCIPAL/HEAD OF SCHOOL

Mr. G is a returning Principal. With his MA in K-12 Educational Leadership from Michigan State University, M.Ed from University of California, Santa Barbara, and BA. in Music from the same university, Mr. G has orchestrated a successful DP implementation at MIS resulting in a batch of successful graduates.

DANIEL BANKS
PYP COORDINATOR, TEACHER

Mr. Daniel Banks brings over 20 years of international teaching experience from schools in South Korea, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, Egypt, and China before joining MIS. He holds a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the University of Reading and is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Management in Education at the University of Bath, UK. An experienced IB educator, he is committed to inquiry-based learning and continuously enhances his practice through international professional development.

GREG MCGUIRE
MYP COORDINATOR, MYP/DP TEACHER

Mr. McGuire received his B.Sc. from the University of New Brunswick and his B.Ed. from St. Thomas University in New Brunswick, Canada. He holds a Teaching License from the Province of New Brunswick. He has taught overseas at Colegio Albania in Colombia and the American International School of Kingston before joining MIS in 2009.

JASON PRINGLE
DP COORDINATOR, MYP / DP TEACHER

Mr. Jason Pringle is an experienced international educator and serves as the IB Diploma Programme (DP) Coordinator at MIS. He holds a Master of Education in International School Education Development from the University of New England, Australia, along with multiple teaching and educational leadership qualifications from Charles Sturt University. With extensive experience in Australia and Indonesia and advanced professional development in both the IB MYP and DP, he is committed to ensuring a rigorous, high-quality IB education that prepares students for success beyond school.

KENDAL PYKE
MYP/DP TEACHER

Ms. Kendal Pyke joins MIS with more than 10 years of international school experience in Japan and Russia. She holds a Master of Education in Learning, Design, and Technology from the University of West Alabama and has completed extensive IB MYP and DP professional development, as well as Universal Design for Learning through Harvard Graduate School of Education. She brings a wealth of international experience to her teaching of DP Business Management and MYP Individuals & Societies, creating engaging learning experiences that develop critical thinking and global perspectives.

NILDA BANKS
PYP TEACHER

Mrs. Nilda Banks is an experienced international educator who has taught in Türkiye, the United Kingdom, Egypt, and China before joining MIS. She holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Management in Education from Oxford Brookes University, a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) qualification, and a Bachelor of Education in English Language Teaching. With over 15 years of teaching experience and ongoing IB professional development, she is passionate about nurturing confident, curious, and lifelong learners.

JULIE HOFFMAN
PYP TEACHER

Ms. Julie earned her BA from UC Riverside and holds a Master’s Degree in Education from University of California, Santa Barbara complemented with Teaching Credential (K-8) from the same university. She has over 20 years of experience teaching in California, Italy, Taiwan, Jamaica, Mauritania, and Indonesia.

KATHY GINTING
KINDERGARTEN TEACHER

Ms. Kathy earned her BA in English Language and Literature at North Sumatra University. She holds a teaching certificate from Pelita Bangsa University. She has worked at MIS since 2001. She has attended IB Training sessions on Assessment, Inquiry and Promoting International Mindedness.

RENTA PANGARIBUAN
KINDERGARTEN TEACHER ASSISTANT

Ms. Renta holds a Bachelor Degree in English Language & Literature from University of North Sumatra. She is a caring teacher who is experienced in teaching as Sunday School teachers at church, and teaching the Kindergarten classes at local schools.

PYP 5/6 CO-TEACHER

Ms. Suci earned her BA in English Language and Literature from Nommensen University. She joined MIS in May 2012.

PYP 3/4 CO-TEACHER

Mr. Stevan joined MIS recently in 2023. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Education from State University of Medan and has over 2 years experience in a bilingual school in Medan before joining our PYP Team.

Ms. Maria holds a Bachelor Degree in English Education from State University of Medan. She has over 2 years experience in teaching at a Sekolah Lentera Nusa Medan before joining us in 2022.

ANDY MANURUNG
MUSIC & ART TEACHER

Mr. Andy holds a Master’s Degree in Composition & Arts Research from University of North Sumatra and a BA in Music from Nommensen University. He has published a book “Contemporary Church Music: Between Ministry and Industry”, Deep Publish, Yogyakarta, (ISBN 978-602-401-087-4). He has taught 7 years in local schools before joining MIS in 2013 and has over 10 years experience teaching the university students in Nommensen and STT Pelita Kebenaran.

LIBRARIAN, MYP/DP TEACHER, SERVICE/CAS COORDINATOR

Ms. Imelda holds a Master’s Degree in Occupational Health from North Sumatra University adding on to the Public Health Degree from North Sumatra University. She has attended IB Training for PYP, MYP Mathematics, and DP CAS as well as the Inspired Education Conference about Language, SEN & Resources in Jakarta. Ms. Imelda has been with MIS since 2011.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER

Mr. Exaudi earned his Bachelors of Arts in Teaching Department of Sport and Health Education from Medan State University. He has over 8 years teaching experience in various schools in Medan before joining MIS in 2019.

DESIGN & BAHASA INDONESIA TEACHER

Ms. Desy holds a Master’s Degree in Education (M.Ed) from the University of the People, California, USA and a BA in Management from North Sumatra University. She holds a teaching certificate from Pelita Bangsa University. She has attended multiple training sessions covering aspects of the IB PYP and MYP, including design & technology teaching and AI training. She began working at MIS in 2004.

MYP/DP BAHASA INDONESIA TEACHER

Ms. Bintang holds a Master’s Degree in Education (M.Ed) from University of the People, California (USA), BA in Economics from the University of North Sumatra, B.Ed and Teaching Certificate from Universitas Pelita Bangsa. She has attended IB Training sessions in MYP/DP Language B, EARCOS conference, Language, SEN & Resources conference. She has worked at MIS since 2001.

IRMA TOBING
MYP BAHASA INDONESIA TEACHER, MYP/DP FRENCH TEACHER

Ms. Irma earned her Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in French Language, along with a teaching certificate from the French Department at the Institute of Teacher Training and Education (IKIP) Medan. She also earned her B.Ed in Indonesian Language and Literature, with a teaching certificate from Universitas Terbuka Medan. In addition to her teaching experience at MIS, she has 16 years of teaching experience at Alliance Française (AF) Medan, 3 years at Universitas Darma Agung, and 2 years at Alliance Française de Batam. Ms. Irma has been working at MIS since 2001.

Ms. Rizqi holds a Master of Science in Chemistry after her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from North Sumatra University. She has been with MIS since 2018.

BOSMAN SIMANJUNTAK
MYP/DP MATH TEACHER

Mr. Bosman earned his BS in Physics from North Sumatra University. He earned his teaching certificate from Pelita Bangsa University. He has been with MIS since 2008 and is now an IBDP Math examiner.

Frau Yuni earned her Bachelor of German and a Teaching Certificate from Medan State University. She has been teaching German in Goethe-Institut Indonesia Jakarta and an experienced Aupai Mädchen in Germany before joining MIS in 2017.

Ms. Golda holds a Master Degree in Chinese International Education from South China Normal University, Guanzhou China. She has been with us for 9 years before rejoining us in 2021.

Ms. Mery holds a certificate in Branding from the University of East Anglia, UK, and completed a diploma in Hotel and Tourism from PMCI, Medan. She was the Marketing Manager at British Council Indonesia Foundation before joining MIS in 2016. Ms. Mery manages social media, promotion, communication, and is our key event organizer at school.

Ms. Eva was an experienced Admin Officer in an international school in Bandung before joining MIS in 2017. She is our key contact at school for parents-relations, administration, and appointments.

PEBRIKA LIMBONG (CIKA)
ASST. FINANCE AND ADMIN

Ms. Cika joined us to assist our Finance team in handling the administration processes. Her work helps the school operate smoothly.

WAWAN KRISDIANTO
IT SUPERVISOR

Mr. Wawan provides tremendous support in device management, network troubleshooting, connectivity supervision, audio/visual quality throughout campus which plays a very important role in providing smooth day–to-day operation at school. With his over 14 years of experience in computer distribution before joining MIS in 2019, Pak Wawan has helped MIS grow in our quality of service.
