🌟 Scholarship Opportunities
A select number of academic scholarships await students who exhibit exceptional promise and enrich the academic and social fabric of Medan Independent School. Scholarships, renewable upon yearly performance review, range from 90% to 50% coverage of tuition and fees. The scholarship is open for Grade 1 to Grade 11 application.
📚 Criteria for Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be applying for Grade 1 to Grade 11 in 2014-2025 school year.
- Be Indonesian citizens or foreigners with KITAS.
- Demonstrate fluency in English.
- Boast an outstanding academic track record.
- Exemplify attributes aligned with the IB Learner Profile.
- Achieve scores within the top 30% on NWEA MAP Reading, Language, and Math tests

- May 10: Application Deadline
- May 17: NWEA MAP Test (approx. 90 minutes for Reading, Language, and Math)
- May 22: Shortlisted Candidates Announcement
- May 24-30: Principal Interviews (by appointment; online or on-site)

📝 Application Process
To apply, submit:
- MIS Student Scholarship Application Form
- School reports from the past 2 academic years
- Evidence of academic or non-academic achievements
- Two passport-size photos
- Copy of passport and birth certificate
- Copy of Surat Keterangan Hasil Ujian Nasional (SKHUN), if applicable
- Copy of Junior High School Certificate (for Grade 9 students)
- An essay in English, 300-word for PYP and 500-word for MYP/DP, detailing your aspirations and how you can contribute to MIS and the community.
