MIS Hosted MakeX Robotics Competition

On Friday, 11 October 2024, Medan Independent School hosted MakeX, Medan’s first Makeblock robotics competition. MakeX is an international robotics competition and education platform that promotes multidisciplinary learning in science and technology. As the core activity of MakeX, the namesake MakeX Robotics Competition provides exciting, challenging and high-level competitions in the spirit of creativity, teamwork, fun and sharing. It is committed to inspiring young people to learn STEAM subjects: Science (S), Technology (T), Engineering (E), Art (A) and Mathematics (M) and apply such knowledge in solving real-world problems.
The categories for the competition were MakeX Inspire Smart Logistics and MakeX Starter All-Core Journey. Six dedicated students from the robotics co-curricular program participated in this exciting event and competed with the other schools, Cinta Budaya School, Medan Mulia School, Maitreyawira School, and Sutomo 1. Two MIS students succeeded remarkably in being the first runner-up in the MakeX starter category. Congratulations to Maxwell Simanjuntak (PYP 5) and Elliezzer Napitupulu (MYP 3)!
