Orientation Day Welcomes New MIS Families
by Ms. Mery, Marketing Manager
Today, MIS was delighted to host its Orientation Day, welcoming 21 new students and their families into our vibrant community. Our new learners come from diverse nationalities, including Indonesian, American, British, and Malaysian, and from varied educational backgrounds — local and national schools.
The day began with a warm welcome message from our Principal, Mr. Matthew Gaetano, who also guided parents and students on a tour of our campus, offering a glimpse into our facilities and learning environment. Following the tour, families attended presentations from our academic leaders: Mr. Ryan Schwab, PYP Coordinator, and Mr. Greg McGuire, MYP Coordinator, who introduced routines for Kindergarten, Primary, and MYP students — covering practical details such as where to place lunch boxes, when to wear PE T-shirts, and other important daily practices to help students settle in with confidence.
Mr. Karl Sloane, our DP Coordinator, also connected with parents of Grade 10 students and others beginning to plan for their children’s university pathways, offering valuable advice and guidance.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all parents who joined today’s event and made it a success. With such an inspiring and supportive community, we are excited to begin an incredible school year together.
We look forward to seeing everyone on the first day of school, Wednesday, 13 August!
