PYP Annual Camp: A Journey of Discovery and Growth
May 15–16, 2025
On May 15–16, the PYP held its much-anticipated annual camp right here on campus. A two-day adventure designed to bring the IB PYP Learner Profile to life. The camp provided an exciting, hands-on learning environment where students explored, reflected, collaborated, and grew together through a wide range of enriching activities.
Throughout the event, students enthusiastically took part in experiences that encouraged inquiry and creativity. From building shelters and scavenger hunts to crafting crowns and faces from natural materials, every activity was designed to connect learners with the world around them. Highlights also included making “gargoyles,” tossing water balloons, swimming, roasting marshmallows, making s’mores and pizzas, watching a movie, and of course, some well-deserved “chillax” time.
Beyond the fun, the camp emphasized important life skills. Students practiced independence by managing their belongings, making decisions, and stepping outside their daily routines. Through group activities, they strengthened their communication, teamwork, and social skills in a joyful and supportive atmosphere.
Spending time outside sparked curiosity and nurtured a deeper appreciation for the environment, offering a refreshing break from screens and classroom walls. The camp seamlessly integrated physical, emotional, and intellectual challenges, helping students build resilience, empathy, and leadership skills.
Most importantly, the camp created lasting memories, moments of laughter, connection with peers and teachers alike.
