IB Core – Anti-Bullying
by Leli Katarina Ginting (Ms. Kathy), Kindergarten Teacher
During the IB Core learning session, the young students of Kindergarten and PYP 1/2 came together to explore the important topic of anti-bullying. They eagerly discussed the significance of displaying kindness and empathy towards others. The session began with the heartwarming “Skidamarink” song, a beautiful melody that carries a powerful message of love and care.
Following this musical start, the students engaged in a deep and meaningful discussion about practical ways to demonstrate kindness, drawing valuable insights from the impactful book “Kindness Starts With You – At School” by Jacquelyn Stagg. This book served as a valuable resource for instilling the virtue of kindness in children.
To conclude the lesson, the students expressed their commitment to spreading kindness by creating handprint heart artwork, symbolizing their dedication to promoting a culture of kindness within their school and beyond.
