PYP Movie Chillax

Last Friday, the PYP Student Government (STUGO) representatives seized the spotlight and orchestrated an unforgettable cinematic journey for their fellow PYP students. The event was a chillax – a perfect blend of chilling out and relaxing. The buzz of anticipation leading up to the event was unmistakable, and when the doors swung open, students flooded in, armed with pocket money ready to turn their movie night into a gastronomic delight.
In a spectacular display of teamwork, Genevieve, Samuel, Ryan, Max, and Michael took charge of the snack operation. Genevieve, Samuel, and Ryan showcased their financial wizardry with lightning-fast accounting skills, while Max and Michael dished out plates of crunchy popcorn to satiate the hungry tummies of the eager moviegoers.
As the lights dimmed and the title “Inside Out” graced the screen, the atmosphere shifted into a world of emotions and life lessons. The story unfolded, introducing us to Riley, a young girl navigating the challenges of her family’s cross-country move, accompanied by her personified emotions – Joy, Anger, Sadness, Fear, and Disgust. The emotional rollercoaster of Riley’s journey resonated with everyone, bringing laughter, and valuable insights into life and family.
When the credits rolled, the PYP students showcased their responsibility and unity by seamlessly transforming the theater back into a classroom. Special thanks to Ms. Mery, Mr. Stevan, Mr. McGuire, and Mr. Gaetano for their support. From accounting acrobatics to popcorn perfection, the leadership of the PYP Student Government shone through, creating an event to be remembered. We eagerly look forward to the next PYP Movie Chillax.
