Medan Independent School
Student Scholarship Program
The Medan Independent School Scholarship Program was launched in 2024 and is designed to provide opportunities for deserving students each year. This program helps fulfill the vision of MIS and the desire of the school to show its appreciation to those in the local community, leading to a positive impact on the future of our world.
A small number of academic scholarships are available to academically talented students who would benefit from and contribute to the academic and social life of Medan Independent School. Scholarships are renewable based on a yearly review of performance.
We have different levels of scholarship awards available. The scholarship award can range from 95% of tuition and fees to 50% of tuition and fees. It covers 100% of the registration fee and 100% of the annual capital fee. Award percentages will be based on Academic Record, Essay, NWEA MAP Scores, space in grade level, and the Principal interview.
Medan Independent School reserves the right to terminate any scholarship of this type at any stage as a result of poor behavior and/or poor academic performance. Consequently, all scholarship recipients will have their academic and behavior performance reviewed in May of each year.
