Science Lab
Our modern Science Lab sets the stage for discovery, innovation, and hands-on learning, meeting and exceeding international standards.
Lunch Area
Our outdoor lunch area allows students to eat their snacks and lunches under the shade of trees.
Library
With more than 16,000 resources, the MIS library offers a wide-range of ways to expand student’s knowledge and imagination.
Sport Field
From soccer to long-jump, from running to shot-put, our 60 meters length x 30 meters wide soccer field is perfect for outdoor sports activities
Multi Purpose Gym
We have a spacious gym that accommodates various kinds of activities including futsal, basketball, badminton, table tennis, and gymnastics exercises.
Venue Hall
Besides sports, our gym also hosts school and community events that involve music, performances, exhibitions, plays, and more. This allows students to explore their interest in the performing arts and event organizing.
Swimming Pool
All students have weekly swimming lessons. Students learn proper swimming techniques and water safety. We have a kids pool for early swimmers, but very quickly students begin showing their skills in the main pool.
Technology Rich Classrooms
Our teachers and students have access to ipads, laptops, desktops, and curated online resources to bring the curriculum alive.
Music Room
Students practice their music skills. Students sing songs and learn to play the angklung and ukulele. They also get to participate in a gamelan. We have an after school rock band class where students learn to play their favorite songs.
Colorful Playground
Students can have fun and exercise on the colorful playground. Students enjoy playing on the swings, the flying fox, the monkey bars, balance beams, seesaw, pull up bars, and more. Play and exercise are crucial to learning. It’s also really fun.
ICT Lab
Our Apple-based ICT (Information and Communication Technology) lab is equipped with cutting-edge technology, designed to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the digital age.
Art & Design Room
Our art and design room is used by students in our art and middle school design programs. Students explore with a variety of mediums to unleash their creative side.
Adventure Playground
This Playground helps to stimulate students’ imaginations while developing their gross motor skills.
Preschool Playground
Dedicated Playground for Kindergarten and PYP 1/2 students accommodating the active little ones.
Rock Climbing Wall
This installation helps promote gross motor skills for students aged 3 to 8.

Oasis in the city

Our 23,000 square meter campus has the feel of a tropical garden. It is an oasis of peace set amongst busy Medan. Studies show that quiet places to study, read, and think contribute to academic success.

Our teachers seek to create positive classroom environments that are warm, inviting, and developmentally appropriate. The physical environment is structured to help create a community of learners. Teachers often change the configuration of desks in the class depending on the lesson. Walking through the campus you will often see students engaged in different groups and interacting with their peers as they learn together.
